Considering that the majority of the movie takes place in and around a phone booth in New York City, there was a lot going on in this story … mostly psychological and conversational. Stu Shepherd (Colin Farrell), a publicist, answers a random call from a pay phone and is held there by the caller/sniper who threatens to kill him if he hangs up. But there’s more. Stu hasn’t been living a respectable life. He uses people, lies to his clients, and is coming close to cheating on his wife. The sniper wants him to admit these things and turn his life around. However, in the early part of the call, Stu is set-up and framed for a shooting that the sniper commits while on the phone with him.
I found this film very engaging. I was very tired when I saw it, but amazingly managed to stay awake through the whole thing, sitting on the edge of the seat.
