FBMR - Another Day In Paradise

Unlike the uplifting title, this movie, by KIDS' director Larry Clark, is anything but. James Woods plays a small-time thief/drug dealer who enlists the help of a young kid (Vincent Kartheiser) whose life he saved from an over-dose. They and their respective girlfriends (Melanie Griffith and Natasha Gregson Wagner) embark on a series of heists that are not always as profitable as hoped.

Woods plays a first-rate slime ball almost perfectly, and Griffith has a mouth on her that makes Eddie Murphy sound like the Pope. Kartheiser is really good too, an impressive outing for the young new-comer. This movie is not for the queasy as there are countless scenes of graphic drug use.
