FBRM - Sweet And Lowdown

Although this film is not a comedy, as one would expect with Woody Allen writing and directing, Sean Penn plays a very funny character who seems to show all the signs of being an obsessive compulsive. How else can you explain his fascination of watching trains pass, or shooting rat in the local dump? Playing guitar virtuoso Emmett Ray, Penn plays a character very different from anything he’s played before. Ray is a self-centred womanizer who seems only really comfortable behind his guitar. When he’s not playing, he seems to just fumble through life.

The soundtrack is awesome, from a guitar-player’s point-of-view. It’s also amazing to watch the guitar playing. He was truly a master.
